Artisans crafting high quality mens garments on premises.

“All in all the overall feel of the suit, in terms of cut, colour and design is beautiful and at an early stage I feel that the finished product will be something very special.”

Timeless Man

“I had thought that I had known about suits until I met Leng.”

About Us:

Leng Ngo:  Undertaking his apprenticeship with J. H. Cutler and mastering cutting, jacket making and trouser making and spending over 20 years working with John Cutler perfecting his craft. Following this, in 2012, Leng opened the doors to his first studio in York St, which has since relocated Gloucester St in The Rock’s on Sydney’s Harbour.

Leng is extremely passionate about his craft, having an intimate knowledge about the construction of tailored garments he is able to create high quality, classic suits that will stand the test of time and remain a staple in any discerning man’s wardrobe, contrary to the world of fashion.

Gennaro Scuro: Hailing from Italy, from a village just out of Calabria, Gennaro moved to Rome to master the craft of tailoring. After moving to Australia in the 1960’s with an Italian company, Gennaro returned to bespoke tailoring working for J.H. Cutler in Sydney.

Gennaro is an extremely gifted jacket maker, being able to construct jackets that a more structured as well as softer style jackets that are associated with the Neapolitan style to more structured styles similar to that of Savile Row. Like Leng, Gennaro is passionate about creating garments of great quality that will endure and continue to look great, whilst allowing the wearer to be comfortable.

MTM Program:

In 2017, Leng Bespoke launched a Made-To-Measure (MTM) program allowing the team to create garments comparable to their bespoke products in a less time-consuming manner and therefore more cost-effective manner, by outsourcing the construction of the garment to a highly skilled team in Malaysia. Unlike other MTM programs where a pre-established pattern is applied and then adjustments are made, the pattern for the garment is cut in house by Leng and then a sturdy paper pattern is sent to Malaysia from which the construction of the garment is based. This allows a level of customisation to be achieved that is on par with Leng’s bespoke offering. Essentially, the world is your oyster in terms of cut, style and design.

Fabric Selection:

Leng Bespoke offers an extensive range of fabrics from Italian mills, including Bateman Ogden, Vitale Barberis Canonico , Solbiati, and Loro Piana.  As well a range from British stalwart mills Dugdale Bros & Co, Holland & Sherry, and Harris Tweed. From these mills, you will find everything you need from lightweight linens, hardy worsted wools, fine flannels and everything in between.

*CMT is also available.

The Process:

In the first consultation Leng will help you settle on the fabric that is appropriate for the garment’s purpose. Then you can discuss the style of the garment, from the macro details such as jacket type down to the most micro of details. All of this can be discussed and worked through with Leng to help arrive at a design with which you are happy. Following this, extensive measurements will be taken to ensure that an accurate pattern can be cut by Leng to ensure best fit for the garment. This pattern is then shipped to the factory and the garment is constructed.

After 4-6 weeks, the garment will return for a second fitting after which in-house alterations will be made if necessary. Proceeding this the garment is yours to enjoy!
